Building solutions for a better life. The Bosch Building Technologies division is a leading international provider of systems, solutions and services that increase the safety of people, buildings and property and also contribute to greater comfort, energy efficiency and sustainability.
Bosch Building Technologies is divided into the international product business and the regional system integration business. Currently, the three product areas of video systems, access control & intrusion detection systems and communication systems as well as the associated cross-divisional functions within the division are to be set up as an independent unit and then further developed as a sustainable core business by a new owner.
- International and interdisciplinary cooperation: As IT System Architect, you will be part of the new company to be set up in the future and thus contribute to a globally networked team of around 4300 colleagues operating in over 50 countries.
- You will be responsible for designing, planning, and enhancing the overall structure and architecture of the global IT technology system landscape based on business requirements in co-ordination with process analysts, data, and application architects.
- Your role will include integrating various hardware, network, and IT infrastructure components to ensure seamless communication and functionality within the entire IT system. You will actively contribute to selecting appropriate technologies and tools in accordance with the Head of IT infrastructure and different third-party service providers.
- Your tasks will also involve identifying potential risks and weaknesses within the IT system, conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimize vulnerabilities and ensure data integrity and system stability.
- You will document system architecture, design decisions, and technical specifications to maintain clear communication among team members and stakeholders.
- You will conduct thorough testing of the IT system to validate functionality, performance, and security and proactively identify areas for improvement and optimize the system’s performance.
Profil
- Education: master’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration with strong IT focus or related qualifications
- Experience and Knowledge: deep understanding of system architecture principles and various technical areas, including software development, databases, networking, emerging technologies, and security. advanced ability in designing robust and scalable systems, considering factors such as performance, security, reliability, and usability. Knowledge of enterprise software systems like ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), CRM (Customer Relationship Management), and EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) to facilitate integration into the overall system architecture, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to identify and resolve complex technical issues in combination with analytical skills to evaluate different options and make informed decisions
- Personality and Working Practice: extended collaboration skills for working closely with diverse members of the international and intercultural IT team, such as network administrators, and project managers, collaboration and teamwork skills are essential for successful system implementation and maintenance., excellent communication and collaboration abilities to effectively engage with various stakeholders, including business analysts, developers, project managers, and clients within a complex, international and intercultural environment
- Languages: very good written and spoken German and English skills
